Thank you for choosing AccuTranslate. Because translation services are customized and labor-intensive, our services are generally non-refundable once work has commenced. This Refund Policy explains when cancellations, revisions, corrections, credits, or refunds may be considered. By placing an order or using our services, you agree to this Refund Policy together with our Terms of Service.
Except where otherwise required by applicable law or expressly authorized by AccuTranslate in writing, all sales are final once work on an order has commenced. Translation services are prepared specifically for each client and generally cannot be returned, resold, or reused after work has begun.
A refund is not automatically due because a client changes their mind, no longer needs the translation, obtains the same or similar service from another provider, has a deadline shorter than the stated or agreed service timeframe, or requests a correction or revision after delivery.
Clients may request changes to an order before translation work begins. Once work has commenced, requested changes are subject to review and may result in additional charges, revised delivery estimates, or both.
If a client supplies replacement, amended, additional, or corrected source documents after work has begun, the resulting work is considered a modification to the original order and does not create a right to a refund for work already completed.
Cancellation requests must be submitted promptly. The following rules generally apply:
Any refund, partial refund, account credit, or other accommodation provided after work has commenced is discretionary unless otherwise required by applicable law and does not establish a precedent for future orders.
Any turnaround time displayed during checkout or otherwise communicated by AccuTranslate is an estimate unless expressly stated in writing as guaranteed. Turnaround estimates may depend on document length, complexity, language pair, translator availability, clarification requirements, and other operational factors.
Once AccuTranslate has delivered a draft, substantially completed translation, or completed translation, the underlying translation service is considered rendered for purposes of refund and cancellation eligibility.
A pending correction or revision does not constitute non-delivery of the original translation and does not automatically entitle the client to a refund.
If a client believes a delivered translation contains a material error attributable to AccuTranslate, the client must provide sufficient information for us to review the issue, including the relevant source document, translated text, and a clear description of the alleged error where reasonably requested.
Where an error attributable to AccuTranslate is verified, our primary remedy is to correct the translation at no additional charge. A refund will not ordinarily be issued where AccuTranslate is able and willing to correct the verified error within the applicable revision timeframe.
In exceptional circumstances, AccuTranslate may, in its discretion, provide a partial refund, account credit, complimentary re-translation, or other reasonable remedy. Nothing in this policy limits any remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Clients may request reasonable corrections to a completed translation within 30 days of delivery. Correction and revision requests may require up to 72 hours after AccuTranslate receives and acknowledges all information reasonably necessary to process the request.
The 72-hour revision period does not begin merely when a client states that an error exists. It begins after AccuTranslate has received enough information and documentation to identify, verify, and process the requested correction. Complex revisions, large documents, specialized terminology, or matters requiring consultation with a translator may require additional time.
Reasonable corrections of verified AccuTranslate errors are provided without additional charge. Changes resulting from amended source documents, newly supplied information, client preference, stylistic changes, or information omitted from the original order may be treated as additional work and may incur additional charges.
AccuTranslate prepares translations based on the documents, names, dates, spellings, terminology, instructions, and other information provided by the client. Clients are responsible for reviewing the accuracy and completeness of the materials submitted with their order.
AccuTranslate is not responsible for errors, omissions, or revision requests caused by inaccurate, incomplete, illegible, unclear, or subsequently changed source materials or instructions. Such circumstances do not create a right to a refund.
This includes, without limitation, corrections involving names, dates, identification numbers, addresses, terminology, or information that was incorrect, unclear, or absent in the original source material supplied to AccuTranslate.
A client's decision to purchase the same or similar translation services from another provider does not cancel an AccuTranslate order and does not create an entitlement to a refund.
This applies even if the client chooses another provider while awaiting a correction, revision, clarification, customer-support response, or other follow-up from AccuTranslate. If AccuTranslate has already commenced or substantially performed the ordered services, any subsequent purchase from another provider is made at the client's own discretion and expense.
Temporary interruptions affecting email, website functionality, customer-support systems, hosting providers, internet connectivity, telecommunications, or other communication channels may occasionally occur.
A temporary inability to contact AccuTranslate through a particular channel does not automatically constitute cancellation, abandonment, non-delivery, or failure to perform and does not, by itself, create a right to a refund.
If a client attempts to submit a correction or revision during a communication interruption, AccuTranslate will process the request within a reasonable period after the request and all reasonably necessary supporting information are actually received.
Except where expressly stated otherwise in writing, AccuTranslate does not guarantee that a translation will be accepted by every government agency, university, employer, court, licensing body, financial institution, or other third party. Clients are responsible for confirming any special requirements of the receiving organization before placing an order.
A third party's request for different formatting, additional wording, supplementary documentation, additional certification, or other changes after delivery does not automatically establish that the translation was defective and does not automatically create a right to a refund.
Where AccuTranslate expressly provides an acceptance guarantee for a particular service, any remedy will be governed by the specific terms of that guarantee.
AccuTranslate may use third-party carriers such as USPS, FedEx, or other delivery providers. Once a shipment has been transferred to a third-party carrier, delivery timing and handling are subject to that carrier's operations.
AccuTranslate does not ordinarily provide refunds for delays, loss, damage, failed delivery attempts, or other problems caused by a third-party carrier. Where appropriate, we may assist the client with available carrier claims, tracking, replacement documentation, or other reasonable support.
Except where required by applicable law or otherwise approved by AccuTranslate, refunds will not ordinarily be issued solely because:
Where a client believes exceptional circumstances warrant review, the client should contact AccuTranslate and provide the order number, relevant documents, description of the issue, and any supporting evidence reasonably requested.
AccuTranslate may determine, based on the circumstances, whether to provide a correction, re-translation, account credit, partial refund, or other remedy. Except where applicable law provides otherwise, AccuTranslate's decision to provide a discretionary accommodation does not constitute an admission of fault or create an obligation to provide the same accommodation in another matter.
This Refund Policy forms part of AccuTranslate's Terms of Service. If there is a conflict between this Refund Policy and the Terms of Service concerning refunds, cancellations, revisions, or corrections, the more specific provision applicable to the particular issue will govern to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes, restricts, or limits any right, remedy, warranty, duty, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or limited under applicable law.
AccuTranslate is committed to providing professional and accurate translation services while maintaining clear and consistent policies for cancellations, revisions, corrections, and refunds. Clients are encouraged to review submitted source materials carefully, communicate any special requirements before ordering, and provide complete information promptly when requesting a correction.
